3. Rick Davis, interim CEO of Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Alaska, was promoted to permanent CEO by the hospital’s board of directors.
4. Nathaniel Richardson was named interim president of Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, Ala.
5. Sister Agnelle Ching announced her plans to retire as CEO of Honolulu-based St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii on Jan. 1.
6. Ken James was named CEO of Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.
7. Shirley Holt, CFO of Southern Coos Hospital in Bandon, Ore., resigned.
8. Gary Riedmann, CEO of St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, announced his plans to retire in January.
9. Glenn Costie was appointed director of Dayton (Ohio) Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
10. Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates named Mike Fencel CEO of its North Florida Division, which includes 11 affiliated hospitals in North Florida.
11. Deborah R. Simon was promoted to permanent president and CEO of Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria.
12. Covenant Health System appointed Chris Dougherty CEO of Covenant Children’s Hospital and Covenant Lakeside, both in Lubbock, Texas.
13. Paul Rothman, MD, was appointed dean of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, effective July 1.
14. Randall G. Nyp was promoted to full-time president and CEO of Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., and St. John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan.
15. President and CEO Mark J. Moran of MetroHealth in Cleveland, Ohio, will not renew his contract, which expires in March.
