1. Lifespan, based in Providence, R.I., extended President and CEO George Vecchione‘s contract through Dec. 31, 2012.
2. Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison, Ohio, named Joseph J. Mitchell the new president, effective Nov. 28.
3. Robert B. Hill announced his retirement as president and CEO of Bethesda Healthcare System, based in Boynton Beach, Fla.
4. The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, based in Juneau, Alaska, hired longtime healthcare executive Susan B. Labus as its COO.
5. Vista Health System, based in Waukegan, Ill., appointed Pamela German Hill CFO.
6. HealthEast Care System, based in St. Paul, Minn., named Kathryn Correia as the new president and CEO.
7. John Wiest, COO of Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers, Fla., stepped down from his post.
