CFO Marvin White: Making Time for Others at St. Vincent Health

St. Vincent Health CFO Marvin White makes time outside of his demanding job overseeing finances and managed care for 19 hospitals and 36 joint ventures to be an active volunteer with national charity groups Big Brothers Big Sisters and the United Way.

Marvin White is CFO of St. Vincent Health System.The Indianapolis-based system, part of the national Catholic network Ascension Health, based in St. Louis, is the state's largest healthcare employer. Across all of its central and southern Indiana facilities, it has 1,751 licensed beds.

Mr. White joined St. Vincent Health in 2008, having previously worked as executive director and CFO of LillyUSA, a subsidiary of Indianapolis-based global pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Wilberforce University and an MBA in finance from Indiana University.
