CFO Cheryl Sadro: Taking the Reins of Memorial Health Care's Financials

Cheryl Sadro was named CFO of Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, Tenn., this past January, and she is now responsible for one of the financially strongest health systems in the area.

Cheryl Sadro is CFO of Memorial Health Care System.From 2006 to 2011, Memorial recorded $190 million in profit, tops among the three main hospitals in Chattanooga, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Last year was one of its most productive years, as it earned $42.9 million.

For the past half year, Ms. Sadro has also overseen the financial planning and strategy of Memorial, which brought in roughly $526 million in revenue in 2011. Revenue at Memorial has increased by an average of $29.6 million every year since 2006.

Prior to Memorial, Ms. Sadro was senior vice president and chief of finance and strategy of Providence Hospital in Washington D.C. In total, she has more than 12 years of healthcare leadership with St. Louis-based Ascension Health, the largest Catholic-based hospital system in the United States, and she also is a certified public accountant.
