Foxconn officials met with healthcare companies from across Wisconsin Tuesday, during which they discussed how to expand the use of Foxconn products and ways to increase investment in healthcare technology.
“When we say Foxconn is a once-in-a-generation opportunity, we mean it. Without a doubt, Foxconn’s innovative technology will have a significant impact on our healthcare industry – making us a national leader for years to come,” Mr. Walker said Tuesday at Madison-based University of Wisconsin Health University Hospital.
The technology plant — part of a 20 million-square-foot campus — is expected to open in 2020 and build liquid-crystal display panels. The company predicts it will employ 3,000 people initially and eventually expand to up to 13,000 workers.
