Welch Allyn develops diagnostic solutions and Gentag specializes in biosensors that can be read with near field communication devices.
Through the partnership, Gentag will offer its NFC technology, which enables battery-less, wireless sensors into medical diagnostic applications, allowing patient data to be electronically transmitted more quickly.
“This collaborative opportunity will enable Welch Allyn to provide clinicians with smart monitoring solutions and improve patient access to cutting edge diagnostics,” said Stephen Meyer, Welch Allyn president and CEO.
