The bill is sponsored by Sen. Randi Becker (R-Eatonville). It passed the Senate with a unanimous vote and received a hearing in front of the House Health Care and Wellness Committee on Wednesday, according to the report.

Such a bill could lower treatment costs for both patients and healthcare providers. If enacted, the bill would go into effect in 2017, according to the report.
