Alegent Health Founder to Return as CEO

Richard Hachten, a founder of Omaha, Neb.-based Alegent Health, will return to serve as the health system’s interim president and CEO, replacing Wayne Sensor, who resigned last week, according to a report by the Omaha World-Herald.

Mr. Sensor’s resignation came during a period of difficulty for the health system. Physicians at two Alegent hospitals recently gave the system’s leadership votes of no confidence. According to the report, some physicians felt the health system favored employed physicians in its decision-making.

Mr. Hachten helped found Alegent by bringing together several hospitals in the area in 1996.
