Alabama Medicaid Agency Oversees Health Information Exchange Project

Bob Mullins, MD, commissioner of Alabama’s Medicaid Agency, is overseeing a project to create a statewide health information exchange, according to a Montgomery Advertiser report.

The program, called One Health Record, is expected to launch April 1, 2012, and reach full implementation by Jan. 1, 2013. A $10.5 million federal grant is funding the project.
