Quality Software Services, owned by UnitedHealth Group and one of the original contractors working on Healthcare.gov, has been selected by HHS to help fix the site’s technical glitches, according to a report in The Washington Post.

After QSSI was purchased in 2012 by UnitedHealth Group, parent company of United Healthcare, several lawmakers sent a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius raising concerns about a potential conflict of interest. HHS retained QSSI regardless as one of Healthcare.gov’s contractors, and last week QSSI was one of the contractors facing questions from Congress about the site’s many technical flaws, according to the report.

QSSI, which built the site’s central data-transferring hub, will now oversee the repairs, which the Obama administration recently announced would be completed by the end of November.
