With the investment, TriHealth will update its picture archiving and communication system infrastructure to improve the storage and management of its imaging data. IBM Watson Health’s enterprise imaging portfolio focuses on solutions that streamline image sharing across hospitals and departments, in part by connecting with EHRs and applying artificial intelligence.
TriHealth will also go live on IBM Watson Imaging Clinical Review, a tool that uses AI to review information housed in EHRs, in early 2019.
“Our goal is to provide our physicians with a tool that delivers data and insight that helps optimize efficiency and quality in the care they deliver to patients,” John Ward, senior vice president and CIO of TriHealth, said in an April 19 statement.
