Traffic slows HealthCare.gov

After a mostly glitch-free opening weekend, healthcare.gov hit its first significant technical difficulty Monday, when heavy traffic prevented users from accessing their existing accounts, according to a report from CBS.

The site was inaccessible to many users Monday afternoon, as heavy traffic activated a built-in queuing feature on the site, and error messages told users to try again later.

Users received messages such as: "HealthCare.gov has a lot of visitors right now! We need you to wait here, so we can make sure there's enough room for you to have a good experience on our site."

Another message, "We're busy making HealthCare.gov even better! Sorry you can't get what you need right now. Please come back and visit again later," suggested there was also a website fix going on Monday afternoon. This was confirmed by an HHS spokesperson.
