Accenture recently published its whitepaper “Building Value With Blockchain Technology,” which asked organizations to evaluate the effectiveness of blockchain. For the report, Accenture surveyed 550 people in 13 sectors, including interviews with CEOs and public-sector leaders.

The three reasons organizations continue to invest in blockchain are traceability of information, the ability to ensure data hasn’t been tampered with and increased security, according to the report, cited by The Wall Street Journal

Executives also indicated it was more important to improve existing blockchain products rather than develop new solutions.
