Texas Heart Institute Launches Mobile App to Train Physicians on Heart Sounds

Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston has launched a THI iPhone and Android app on auscultation, or listening to heartbeats, according to a THI report.

The app, which was developed by THI Director of Cardiology Education James M. Wilson, MD, is designed to train physicians to more quickly recognize heart sounds associated with specific heart conditions.
