WellStar joined the Mayo Clinic Care Network in 2014. Under the expanded collaboration, all 11 healthcare facilities under the WellStar umbrella are included in the Mayo Clinic Care Network, which provides remote resources to organizations across the globe.

Physicians in the Mayo Clinic Care Network will be able to consult with Mayo Clinic specialists on complex patient cases. They will also be able to access medical information and guidelines that have been vetted by Mayo Clinic.

“WellStar’s membership in the Mayo Clinic Care Network is a great example of their dedication to providing the best care, close to home,” said Ryan Uitti, MD, southeast medical director of Mayo Clinic Care Network. “Now with the expansion of WellStar in the care network, even more patients will benefit from our collaboration.”
