URAC grants 1st telehealth accreditation to telehealth provider

URAC launched the first independent, third-party accreditation for telehealth programs in 2016 and it is growing rapidly.

In December 2017, URAC granted Avizia the first telehealth accreditation for a telehealth provider, and in January 2018, AbleTo became the first behavioral health solutions provider to earn URAC telehealth accreditation. University of Mississippi Medical Center is working to attain their URAC telehealth accreditation 2018. As a relatively new way to deliver medicine, telehealth has great potential to enhance healthcare delivery and access to care.
