The mobile health app, C Spire Health, took C Spire two years to develop in collaboration with the Center for Telehealth at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Anyone in the state of Mississippi can download the app and receive treatment from a certified clinician.
Clinicians can prescribe treatments for around 20 minor medical conditions through the app, including coughs, colds, flu and seasonal allergies. Additionally, patients can use the app for headaches, earaches, sore throats and insect bites.
Insurance is not required to request a virtual appointment, which costs $59 per visit. If a patient needs a prescription, the clinician can send it directly to the patient’s desired pharmacy.
