The center aims to offer clinical evaluations and treatment for adults with conditions such as epilepsy, autism, intellectual disability and tuberous sclerosis complex.
In Maryland, there are currently just two regional medical centers that provide autism care for pediatric patients; the UM Medicine centers are the first to treat adults with autism.
UM Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute in Baltimore will provide in-person clinical care for patients as well as virtual care for patients who are unable to travel to the facility or who live in certain rural areas.
