Startup looks to provide virtual care for eating disorders

Amanda D’Ambra and Joan Zhang are collaborating to create Arise, a New York-based startup offering virtual care for eating disorders.

Ms. D’Ambra and Ms. Zhang both have worked in the digital health industry. Their experiences with eating disorders inspired them to create more accessible treatment, according to a July 11 interview with TechCrunch.

Arise has received $4 million in seed funding, led by BBG Ventures. The startup hopes to provide care to 100 patients by the end of the year.
