The pilot program will roll out to select large employer groups covered by Cambia Health Solutions health insurance subsidiaries.
Under the pilot program, members will be able to access medical advice and prescriptions for a defined list of common conditions — such as sinus infections or requests for birth control — by submitting answers in an online intake form, which a physician then reviews without conducting an in-person or video consultation.
In states that require a live video visit between a physician and a patient, a remote physician will conduct an immediate short video consultation.
