Northwell will utilize HRS’ telehealth technology to provide home care patients with wireless, Bluetooth-enabled tablets, which allow patients to send their vital signs to and virtually consult with their physicians. The tablets come with a video camera, blood pressure monitor, weight monitor and stethoscope.

“Telemonitoring is a wonderful tool to help reduce rehospitalizations,” said Northwell Health Home Care Network Director of Patient Services Diane Asquino, RN. “It engages the patient in managing their health by helping them to identify symptoms early.”
