The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 has extended the following Medicare telehealth flexibilities, according to a May 9 press release from the HHS:
- People on Medicare will still be able to access telehealth services in any geographic area within the U.S.
- Those on Medicare can conduct telehealth visits in their homes.
- Some telehealth visits can be conducted via audio-only if someone cannot use both audio and video.
