Los Angeles County residents can receive a free COVID-19 test from a Healthvana mobile testing center and if the result is positive, the patient will be directed to get treatment through an app. The app directs users to view COVID-19 medication fact sheets as well as a number to call that will connect them with a healthcare provider who will assess their situation.
So far, 96 percent of patients with a positive test result viewed the result and read the information on medication. Thirty-seven percent of patients sought treatment, and 67 percent of those who did were people of color.
