The funding comes from $825,000 in state grants, which the state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Education awarded KSU for new programs and renovations. The education department’s Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills Program, which aims to drive workers toward the healthcare industry’s telemedicine and additive manufacturing sectors, provided $510,000 in funding for the grants.
Outside of the telemedicine investment, KSU is using the funding to purchase a 3-D printer, conduct building renovations and support education initiatives.
