Rep. Buddy Carter introduced a resolution designating the week of Sept. 15, 2025, as Telehealth Awareness Week.
The resolution recognizes the role of telehealth in expanding care access across the U.S., particularly for older adults and rural populations. It was co-sponsored by Reps. Doris Matsui, David Schweikert and Mike Thompson according to a Sept. 15 news release from Mr. Carter’s office.
The sponsors called for continued support and expansion of telehealth services, citing their ability to reduce barriers to care and improve health outcomes. Mr. Carter also introduced the Telehealth Modernization Act in September with the goal of preserving access for Medicare beneficiaries and extending flexibilities to federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics.
