Four notes:

1. The service, called WePrescribe, provides online check-ups for common conditions including coughs, colds and urinary tract infections.

2. Drs. Chauhan and Strong launched WePrescribe earlier this month, and their team of providers comprises internal medicine specialists, family physicians and nurse practitioners.

3. After a patient schedules an online consultation through the app, the wait-time before a physician calls back is about an hour.

4. A virtual appointment through WePrescribe costs $49.99 and is not covered by health insurance.
