Georgia health system rolls out telehealth service

Dalton, Ga.-based Hamilton Healthcare System is launching Hamilton Community Health, a systemwide telehealth service, according Oct. 10 reporting in The Calhoun Times.

The service is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and same-day appointments are available. If patients need in-person care following a telehealth appointment, a clinician can refer them to the most convenient location.

The telehealth service will accept the majority of insurance plans, and self-pay options are available for the uninsured.
