Appalachian Regional Healthcare rolls out systemwide ICU telemedicine services

Hazard, Ky.-based Appalachian Regional Healthcare System will launch Advanced ICU Care’s remote monitoring technology for intensive care unit patients across all 12 of its hospitals.

Three things to know:

1. The health system implemented the telemedicine platform May 7 at Hazard ARH Medical Center.

2. Advanced ICU Care’s technology will be installed at Appalachian Regional Healthcare’s 11 remaining hospitals within the next two months.

3. Advanced ICU Care’s platform allows healthcare providers to remotely monitor ICU patients’ care through real-time clinical data and two-way audio and visual capabilities.
