Three notes:

1. The acquisition combines Rosslyn, Va.-based Advantia Health’s physical practices with Pacify’s virtual services.

2. Pacify’s mobile platform provides members unlimited, 24/7 video chat access with its network of physician extenders, which include board-certified lactation consultants, and registered nurses.

“When it’s 2 a.m., you’re a new mom, and your baby has a fever or you aren’t sure if she’s getting enough to eat, you want instantaneous access to quality care. Pacify provides that,” Advantia Health CMO Lisa Shah, MD, said in a news release emailed to Becker’s Hospital Review. “And health plans know that those moments present a real opportunity to improve outcomes and reduce costs.”

3. Advantia Health’s women’s health centers provide OB-GYN services, mental health and certain primary care services, among others. The organization comprises more than 200 providers.
