The survey included feedback from more than 450 IT professionals. The following are among the key findings from the survey:
Fifty-one percent reported that they do not protect patient data used in software development and testing.
Seventy-eight percent are not sure if their organization is able to detect identify theft of loss of data in development or testing.
Thirty-eight percent have experienced a data breach during the development and testing stage, while 12 percent are not sure if they had a breach.
