DRG Digital surveyed 100 physicians who use voice assistants for professional purposes about the technology.
Here are three insights into how physicians use voice assistants.
1. The physicians surveyed said they use a voice assistant to search on their smartphone (78 percent) or dictate for them on a smartphone or tablet (48 percent).
2. The most common clinical cases physicians used voice assistants for was drug information, such as dosing. Another common use of voice assistants was searching clinical information, like diseases.
3. Only 29 percent of physicians used a voice assistant that’s part of their EHR system. The most common voice assistant physicians referred to was Apple’s Siri.
