Surescripts adds 4 pharmacies, 3 EHR vendors to immunization network

Four major pharmacy chains and three EHR vendors have joined Surescripts’ Immunization Registry Reporting service, which now covers 88 percent of the U.S. population.

The new additions include CVS/pharmacy, Rite Aid, Safeway and Walgreens and EHR vendors Amazing Charts, Aprima and digiChart.

The Immunization Registry Reporting service is designed to streamline the vaccination reporting process for pharmacies and healthcare providers. Immunization transactions are sent to Surescripts and then distributed to the 44 participating state and regional immunization registries.
