Suki, a healthcare AI company, expanded its partnership with Meditech to further streamline clinical workflows.

The two companies initially partnered in September 2024 to add ambient clinical documentation to Meditech Expanse EHR, including in-Expanse dictation. Since then, more than 20 enterprise health systems have incorporated Suki’s ambient clinical documentation capabilities. Those health systems will now have access to Suki Assistant, which generates and then sends ambiently generated clinical notes directly into the Expanse EHR.

With the new voice-to-text capabilities, clinicians can dictate into any field for their clinical notes and won’t have to copy and paste into the EHR. Suki Assistant has already been used in more than 10,000 patient encounters and soon will integrate into the Expanse Now mobile app.

Suki and Meditech are planning to expand the technology beyond physicians to include nurses and home care staff as well.

“Achieving full integration with Meditech is a defining moment — not just for Suki, but for the future of AI in healthcare. It’s proof that truly assistive technology can integrate seamlessly, scale effortlessly, and deliver real impact for any health system — big or small, urban or rural,” said Punit Soni, CEO and founder of Suki.

Suki has been shown to alleviate the clinician documentation burden by reducing the time in note by 41%. Clinton, Mo.-based Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, which was one of the early adopters of Suki in Meditech Expanse, has already seen the benefits.

“At Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, our mission is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care close to home,” said William Dailey, MD, CMIO of Golden Valley Memorial. “This integration directly supports our mission by easing the documentation burden on our providers and giving them more time to focus on what matters most. This technology not only streamlines workflows but also enhances the quality and continuity of care we deliver throughout our rural communities.”
