Strategic HIE Collaborative taps Kelly Hoover Thompson as new CEO

Grand Junction, Colo.-based Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative, a nationwide trade consortium of HIEs, named Kelly Hoover Thompson its CEO.

In this role, Ms. Hoover Thompson will collaborate with the SHIEC board of directors to develop and advance the consortium's strategy as well as elevate awareness of HIEs in the national healthcare landscape.

She previously served as deputy secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health and as executive director of the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership.

Ms. Hoover Thompson holds a Juris Doctor from Wilmington, Del.-based Widener University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania.
