Springfield, Va.-based Spok Holdings, a global healthcare communications firm, appointed Michael Wallace CFO.
Here are six things to know about Mr. Wallace.
1. Mr. Wallace will succeed Shawn Endsley. Mr. Endsley, who has been Spok's CFO since 2010, will become the firm's chief accounting officer.
2. As Spok's CFO, Mr. Wallace will lead the company's financial operations and oversee accounting, audit, budgeting and financial planning and analysis.
3. He has more than 20 years of experience as a financial executive in public and private companies. Prior to joining Spok, he had served as executive vice president and CFO of Intermedix since August 2013.
4. Before Intermedix, Mr. Wallace was the executive vice president and CFO of The Elephant Group and senior vice president and CFO of Radiology Corp. of America.
5. He was also an assistant chief accountant in the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement and was a member of the SEC's Financial Fraud Task Force in Washington, D.C.
6. Mr. Wallace earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) and is a licensed certified public accountant.
