Tenants in the 196,000-square-foot complex’s central Innovation Building will include the Cambridge Innovation Center, which provides coworking space for startups, the Brown University School of Professional Studies and Johnson & Johnson’s Health Technology Center. Brown’s facility will house several programs, including a biomedical master’s degree program and its Gateways to Medicine, Health Care and Research curriculum.

The complex will be located near Brown’s Warren Alpert Medical School and the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center, with construction expected to be completed in two years. The $88 million project, funded in part by state incentives and tax credits, is expected to generate around $100 million in additional revenues for Rhode Island within the next two decades, as well as up to 2,000 high-paying jobs, according to Gov. Gina Raimondo.
