“As new jobs have been added over the past year – some in association with our new EMR system – we’ve had to make tough decisions around functions and positions we can no longer afford,” wrote hospital officials in a statement.
There will be no across-the-board layoffs; instead each department will responsible for its own restructuring. The hospital did not disclose the number of positions to be eliminated.
