The round was led by Felicis Ventures, with additional participation from FundRx, Social Starts, Greycroft and more. The funding will be used to expand Osmosis’ online library of educational videos, which already numbers more than 1,300, and form hundreds more institutional partnerships, all as part of the company’s goal to reach more than 1 billion healthcare professionals by 2025.

Osmosis was founded by two then-students at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. It currently boasts more than 1 million YouTube subscribers and 500,000 registered users, claiming to reach a total of at least 1 million healthcare professionals and medical school students. Registered users come from every U.S., U.K., Canadian and Australian medical school, as well as 1,500 other health professional schools.
