The first wave of draft test procedures was released earlier this month. Each wave introduces new test procedures. ONC has not said how many waves there will be, but draft test procedures will be posted through October 2012.

Comments for each wave will be accepted for two weeks after the wave’s initial posting date. Comments and suggestions should be submitted to ONC.Certification@hhs.gov.

After the public comment and review period of all waves, ONC will revise and finalize the test procedures. The final version is expected to be available for use in testing and certification in early 2013, according to the release.
