New Orleans, La.-based Ochsner Health is expanding its digital identity verification capabilities through a partnership with CLEAR aimed at improving how patients and employees access health system accounts and information.

The nonprofit health system has implemented CLEAR1, a secure identity platform designed for account creation, recovery and access to healthcare information, according to a March 9 news release.

The platform is already being used to help patients regain access to their MyOchsner accounts. Since launching the tool, more than 10,000 patients have used CLEAR1 to reset their passwords while reducing the need for manual identity checks, the release said.

Future phases of the rollout will expand the technology to support patient account creation within MyOchsner and employee account recovery.
