Mobile 5G service is already available in these 22 cities

Though 5G technology is not expected to begin replacing 4G as the U.S.’s standard wireless internet speed until 2020, major cellular providers have already begun rolling out 5G capabilities in cities across the country.

Verizon, AT&T and Sprint have all activated their respective 5G networks in recent months, even as the majority of their smartphone offerings still lack 5G capabilities. The carriers’ networks range in cost from $10 to $70 per month for 5G access, which reportedly loads websites and downloads content at least 10 times faster than 4G and is expected to greatly improve healthcare access and hospital efficiency.
