Meta has partnered with Microsoft on its Llama 2 general artificial intelligence platform, making it available to run locally on Windows and to developers through Azure. Llama 2 will also be accessible through Amazon Web Services.
“We believe an open approach is the right one for the development of today’s AI models, especially those in the generative space where the technology is rapidly advancing,” Meta wrote in a July 18 news release. “By making AI models available openly, they can benefit everyone.”
