McKesson unveils its Intelligence Hub

San Francisco-based McKesson introduced the McKesson Intelligence Hub, a platform that enables interoperability among healthcare applications.

The Hub, which was engineered using FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), connects McKesson's portfolio of automated reimbursement solutions. A variety of McKesson's customers are already using the Hub to link their applications to McKesson's services.

The Intelligence Hub also provides API management, identity and access management and application service orchestration.

"Our customers are developing and implementing their own interoperability strategies, and the Intelligence Hub will help us solve problems together faster and more easily," said McKesson President Rod O'Reilly. "The Intelligence Hub is all about making interoperability virtually effortless across our portfolio and our customers' portfolios, so we can break down silos and make automated reimbursement as streamlined as it can be."
