According to the health system, boxes containing the medical records of the patients have been missing since January. The records contained the patients’ personal health information, including medical diagnoses and surgical procedures. The records did not include Social Security numbers, credit card numbers or financial statements.
The health system has offered the affected patients free credit protection services, according to the report.
