VA works to expand virtual reality care

The Veterans Health Administration is partnering with medtech company Penumbra on a three-year collaboration that will explore virtual reality therapies.

The VR tools will be used for veteran neurorehabilitation and chronic condition management, according to an April 4 Penumbra news release.

Penumbra’s flagship REAL y-Series VR technology is used to address physical rehabilitation, core and balance, cognition, functional uses, and activities of daily living.
