Adults 50 and older are increasingly pursuing healthcare AI and other digital health tools, according to AARP.
Here are four key findings from the Dec. 8 report:
1. The share of older adults who say technology enables a healthy life grew from 39% in 2024 to 46% in 2025.
2. More than half (55%) of caregivers employ one or more forms of technology to organize their caregiving responsibilities.
3. Older adults’ AI use increased from 18% in 2024 to 30% in 2025, including AI-powered health monitoring devices and asking AI to answer health questions or give nutritional advice.
4. About half of adults are using or interested in AI-enabled health devices, but few have adopted or sought AI for therapy.
