NewYork-Presbyterian to Open Precision Medicine Institute

Weill Cornell Medical College and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City have announced that they will partner to create an Institute for Precision Medicine at Weill Cornell and NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, also in New York City.

The institute will explore targeted, individualized medical treatments based on each patient’s genetic profile. Preventive precision medicine will also be a key initiative at the institute. It will be led by Mark Rubin, MD, a pathologist and prostate cancer expert at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
