The fund will specialize in investing in companies at the seed and series A stages. HC9 has made three investments in digital health companies so far, according to a Nov. 21 HC9 news release.

The venture fund will be led by Richard Lungen, Jon Gordon and Charlie Falcone.

“Our experience has taught us that transforming healthcare doesn’t happen overnight – it takes the right insights, the right relationships and a lot of persistence. With more than 70 years’ experience investing in, leading and growing healthcare companies, HC9 leverages the power of experience to support the founders that are shaping the future of healthcare,” Mr. Gordon said.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
