The candidate should have a “firm understanding of the employer’s expectations and what they are looking for in a candidate,” Ms. Mara explained in the blog.

2.    Motivation. Candidates should know their own motivations or reasons for interest in the position.

3.    Clinical skillset required.
Candidates should understand the clinical skillset required for the position and assess their own skills against it.

4.    Staffing model. Candidates should fully understand the staffing model the employer uses.

5.    Scheduling. Candidates should understand expected hours and call and post-call procedures.

6.    Case loads. Candidates should know the number and types of cases the group performs each year.
