Four ways AI can help fight the next pandemic:

  1. AI can analyze massive amounts of data, such as positive test results and emerging clusters of disease, and use predictive analytics to establish trends that can be useful for public health officials.
  2. Natural language processing, an AI and machine learning-powered technology, can be used to monitor online information about the spread of disease.
  3. Hospitals are using AI algorithms to track the spread of diseases such as sepsis.
  4. AI can diagnose diseases earlier than human clinicians. Recently, AI has been used to diagnose patients with Alzheimer’s.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
